The SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC FRONT announces to all it's potential adherents and supporters that consequent upon it's declaration deposited with the Senior Divisional Officer, Bamenda, Mezam Division, the inaugurating rally will be held in Bamenda Town on Saturday, 26 May, 1990 at 2 pm. The rally will take the form of a march from the City Chemist Round-about up to the Bamenda Municipal Stadium, where speeches will be made launching the Social Democratic Front followed by distribution of the SDF Manifesto.
The Sub-Divisional Officer, Bamenda Central Division, has been informed about the rally and a request has been made to the Commissioner of Public Security Bamenda Town, to ensure that the rally takes place under ideal conditions and circumstances.
The Social Democratic Front hereby appeals to it's supporters to conduct themselves in a manner reflective of it's seriousness of purpose and the cause for which it stands.
The Social Democratic Front, mindful of it's avowed belief in the multi-party system and fair competition, has chosen the above date in order to avoid any disruption of the on-going CPDM elections and the 20th May National Day Celebrations, and it's hopes that this magnanimous attitude will be reciprocated.
