This is the Constitution and the Internal Rules and Regulations of the Social Democratic Front.
PREAMBLE
We, Adult Cameroonians of the SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC FRONT united
in common purpose, meeting in Bamenda on the 3rd day of February,
1991, hereby rededicate ourselves to the fundamental principles
of democracy declared in Bamenda on the 16th day of February,
1990, in accordance with Law No 67/LF/19 of June 12th, 1967, principles
which have sustained our party. We hereby reiterate our belief
in individual freedom in the framework of a just society, political
freedom in the framework of a meaningful participation by all
citizens in the political process; and Mindful of the Constitution
of the Republic of Cameroon, Mindful of Law No 90/056 of the 19th
December, 1990, Pledge ourselves to an open and honest endeavour
in the conduct of public affairs and in a manner worthy of a free
people; Convinced that the enduring strength of the Nation's political
institutions depends on the restoration of multiparty democratic
practice; Affirm our conviction that a political party wishing
to govern must listen to the governed, that a party wishing to
be trusted must prove its trust in the people; In accordance with
these fundamental principles, the SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC FRONT Constitution
of 16th February, 1990 is hereby amended.
